IPL 2021 AUCTION : List of the Players Bought In auction
The player auction for the 14th edition of the IPL( Indian Premier League) took place on 18th February, Thursday in the Southern Indian city of Chennai. In the event, around 292 players were present for undergoing hammer event. Even though this 14 version was not a mega event. Still, a massive 1114 players from India and across the globe registered themselves for the auction. Eight franchises were given a list by the BCCI.
In the end, all eight teams seemed happy with their purchases.
Chris Morris, a south African Allrounder became the most expensive buy of the IPL 2021 auction. Hence, picked up by Rajasthan Royals for a record price of Rs 16.25 Crore.
CSK spend a big amount on all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham who was sold for a staggering Rs 9.25 crore. Hence, makes him the most expensive uncapped Indian player of IPL history.
Glenn Maxwell fetched for a big amount by Royal challengers Bangalore for Rs 14.25 crore after an intense bidding war. Sunrisers Hyderabad with three vacancies has the lowest number of vacant spots to fill. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore has the most slots – 13- to buy players for. Kings XI Punjab the biggest purse of Rs 53.2 crore to spend.While Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad each have Rs 10.75 crore to splurge at the auction.
Marking The IPL Auction 2021 completion, Mumbai Indians purchases Arjun Tendulkar.
Arjun Tendulkar – Base price set to ₹20 lakh.
Mumbai Indians bid ₹20 lakh for Arjun Tendulkar. Arjun Tendulkar sold to Mumbai Indians for a price of ₹20 lakh.
So far, 53 players have been sold.
