1. Vaishno Devi:

One of the great pilgrimages of Hindus is located in Jammu. The shrine of Vaishno Devi is located in Katra, a town in the Udhampur district of Jammu. Moreover, not only for worship you can visit here for many other reasons also. Such as to have a view of different peaks, Chenab river, mountain climbing and for leisure time also.

2. Raghunath Temple:

The temple was built by the Rajput dynasty. Mainly by the Maharaja Gulab Singh and his son Maharaja Ranbir Singh of the Rajput clan. The biggest temple construction of the north India along with all the Hindu Gods. Moreover, each God separate shrines made in the complex.

3. Peer Kho cave Temple:

The iconic Temple representing one of the Ramayana characters Jamwant who was a beer. It is situated on the Tawi river and Jamwant took samadhi here only. Now, there are many caves inside it which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Furthermore, one mystical path is here leading to Amarnath Gufa. But at present that path has been locked.

4. Peer Baba Dargah:

A Muslim pilgrimage situated near the airport in Jammu. This is the Dargah of Muslim saint Peer Budhan Ali Shah. Also, it is believed to had live for more than 500 years. Moreover, all the people of different religion visits here. Especially on Thursday to seek the blessings of Saint.

5. Dargah Garib shah:

 

It is a Muslim shrine located at Samba in Jammu. This dargah is devoted to Saint Garib Shah, who always preached brotherhood and humanity to people. Moreover, dargah has devotees from different cultures and customs. Special thing about Dargah is that it’s run and maintained by a Hindu Community.

6. Shivkhori:

The shrine devoted to Lord Shiva, who is believed to be unborn and invisible in this cave.  Along with the cave shaped impression resembling Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh, Nandi, Kartikeya, and Sheshnag. It is a naturally formed 4-foot lingam cave. It requires a 3-kilometer trekking area to reach to the caves. Moreover, located in the mountains of a cave in the Uddhampur district of Jammu.

7. Dogra art museum:

A museum present within the Mubarak Mandi Palace, which was the residence of Dogra rulers. The Basohli miniature paintings are the most fascinating exhibit here. Moreover, the handwritten biography of Lodhi Kings – Sikander Nama and Shah Nama are here. Ancient coins, terracotta, stone sculptures, weapons, antique bow, and arrows, etc. kept on display here. A perfect place for art lovers.

8. Amar Mahal Palace Museum:

This museum was planned by a French architect. Later constructed by King Raja Amar of Dogra in 1890s. The golden throne of 120 kgs well-guarded and placed in a locked room. Although visible through the panels. Moreover, has a small Art gallery with family portraits of rulers of Jammu and Kashmir.Along with magnificent Pahari paintings and different art.

9. Surinsar lake:

A lake situated approx. 30 mins away from the main city. A fresh, clean lake along with many blooming lotuses in the river. Especially, a great place with the family visit. Also, many activities opened here for the kids to spend leisure time.

10. Raghunath Market:

The oldest market in Jammu for dry fruits and woolen clothes shopping. Just outside the Raghunath Temple, it’s situated. Also, many local dress shops along with small imitation jewelry shops for ladies are there.
