With heavy hearts, we said goodbye to the finest football player of the era. Diego Maradona, a great football (soccer) player left this world on 25th November 2020. He was an inspiration to the whole world in the field of sports.

Diego Armando Maradona was an Argentine football player. He was born on October 30, 1960, in Lanus, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was the master of football. Especially the top footballer of the 1980s and then remained of all time. He made his first debut in 1976 with Argentinos juniors at age of 14. Moreover, after 4 months he made his debut with the national team. Thus, becoming the youngest Argentine ever. Undoubtedly, his vision, control over the ball, and dribbling skills were marvelous.

Furthermore, his leadership skills on the field were a great asset to the country. As that contributed towards the winning of a group sport. Also a free-kick specialist and nicknamed “El Pibe de Oro” (“The Golden Boy”), which remained throughout his career. He led club teams to the Championship in Argentina, Chile, and Spain. Afterward, make the Argentine national team that won the 1986 World Cup.

All in all, he played for Argentinos Juniors, Boca Juniors, Barcelona, Napoli, Sevilla, and Newell’s Old Boys in his whole career. Afterward, he coached Argentina’s national football team as well as the Fujairah football club. Besides this, he was suspended in the 1994 World Cup. As he was tested positive for the drug ephedrine.

Due to his addiction to drugs, cocaine, and alcohol. He has suffered many health-related issues. So he has gone through several surgeries as well as treatment. Moreover, faced many family issues due to these addictions.

ACHIEVEMENTS :

Maradona scored 91 caps and 34 goals in his International Career with Argentina. Also played 4 FIFA World Cup. All in all, he played in 490 official club games scoring 259 goals during his 21-year professional career. Later, on his 37th birthday in 1997, he took retirement from international football

Death Of Maradona:

Sadly, Maradona died on 25th November 2020 Wednesday at the age of 60. Though, he had gone through brain surgery and was discharged on 11 November 2020. But destiny has decided something else for him and due to the heart attack, he died.

The loss of such a great player can’t be compensated. A person for whom football has not been just a sport, but the greatest art.
