Tokyo Olympics 2021: Narendra Modi in conversation with Indian Athletes
Tokyo Olympics 2021 will begin soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Olympic Athletes virtually representing India. He encouraged them and asserted them to play freely and focused.

Only 10 days are left for Tokyo Olympics 2021 to begin. The Tokyo Olympics dates are scheduled from 23 July to 8 August.
With this, the performance pressure and sentiment to represent India are sometimes overwhelming for the players.
To ensure the support of India to athletes, Mr. Narendra Modi had a virtual meet with the Sports athletes, staff, and their families.
In total, 228 members of the Indian contingent will reach Tokyo.

- In total, India will play in 85 categories in the Olympics, 2021.
The virtual meet was initiated by Secretary Sports Minister- Shri Ravi Mittal. Wherein he introduced the prominent people and sportspersons who joined the meeting.
Later, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Anurag Singh Tomar continued. He informed the Prime Minister on how all the athletes are given every facility ensuring efficient resources, training, and all.
Thereafter, Narendra Modi had a light-hearted conversation with 15 athletes from various fields.
He spoke about how and why the individual chose sports. He even inquired about their struggles. Additionally, he questioned the parents about how they feel about the success of their kids.
He even asked parents and athletes to motivate other parents to encourage their kids.
Importantly, he urged every athlete to not gain pressure and play focused.
Indeed, a light atmosphere was assured.
Subsequently, the meeting came to an end.
